ENERGY TOP Damper is a low-profile top mounted fireplace damper that also serves as a chimney cap. Here's how it works:

ENERGY TOP DAMPER is attached to the top of the chimney's flue tile liner. In the closed position, above, it is virtually invisible from the ground. Provides a tight, gasketed fit that seals in your heat and seals out weather, insects, birds and animals. When open, the ENERGY TOP damper allows smoke and fumes to escape efficiently. This damper style is less restrictive than most top mount damper styles and is the choice of many chimney professionals for its ease of use and dependability.

 

 

A slight pull on the fireplace-mounted handle chain releases the spring-loaded top into the open position. When open, this damper design is least obstructive to exiting smoke. EASY to operate! The bracket is attached to the fireplace wall, keeping the handle easily accessible. A slight pull opens and closes the damper. The fireplace mounting bracket and 50' cable are included with each damper.  When open, this damper measures 9" in height.

 

NOTE: Top mount dampers cannot be installed on chimneys that vent a wood stove or gas logs.
