Gas Fireplace Conversion

Convert your small fireplace to a gas while retaining its historic appeal. Our Victor gas coal burner is attached to the floor of the fireplace and the fret is set, freestanding, in front of the burner. Fireplace must be at least 13" wide and 6" deep. Also, because this design doesn't enclose the sides of the burner in any way, this design will not be appealing in a fireplace greater than 20" wide.

DESIGN TIP: paint the fireplace black using high temperature stove paint for more dramatic flame appearance.

Victor Gas Coal Burner in 3 sizes

Small gas burner with ceramic coals.  Specify LP or Natural gas when ordering. Victor burner is attached to the floor of the fireplace. The fret is set in place, free-standing, in front of the burner. To accommodate various small fireplace dimensions, the Victor Burner is available in 3 sizes. Victor II burner is usually the best fit:

 

VICTOR I:    14-1/2" W x 5-1/4"D x 7"H
VICTOR II:   14"W x 6"D x 6-/1/2" H
VICTOR III:  12"W x 6"D x 6-1/2"H

 

HAND HELD REMOTE CONTROL

This burner features a millivolt valve that will allow use with Optional Remote Control that turns the fire on/off and adjusts flame height.

 

CHIMNEY REQUIREMENTS
This is a vented gas product. It MUST be installed into a functioning wood burning fireplace with a lined chimney. Minimum chimney size is 6" round. Your fireplace damper, if one exists, must be removed or permanently clamped open upon installation. This is a decorative product that is not designed to provide substantial heat.
