Great alternative contemporary style for a historic home! All cast iron construction in a modern design. Since this style has no fireback, it fits into masonry fireplaces with a sharply sloped back wall as well as many prefabricated woodburning fireplaces that have a short fireplace opening.

When installing a gas coal basket, a tight fit into the fireplace is ok, so long as the fireplace depth allows the basket to sit completely inside the fireplace. Unlike gas logs, the gas coal basket needs no air space on the sides because the bottom mount burner stays cool during operation. BTU input is 15,000-28,000; flame height is adjustable.

CHIMNEY REQUIREMENTS
This is a vented gas product. It MUST be installed into a functioning wood burning fireplace with a lined chimney. Minimum chimney size is 6" round. Your fireplace damper, if one exists, must be removed or permanently clamped open upon installation. This is a decorative product that is not designed to provide substantial heat.
