Free Smoke Detectors

Fighting Fires with Free Smoke Detectors – and Words of Praise

The City of Richmond encourages all citizens to take advantage of free smoke detectors available from our Fire Department by calling 804-646-1526. City of Richmond citizens can also obtain free “fire safety sticks,” which are plastic yardsticks used to measure a 3' clearance around space heaters. Our Fire Department also provides information on safety measures, such as assisting citizens with mock emergency exit drills in their home. Source: Mayor L.
