Small Direct Vent Gas Fireplace Insert fits small masonry or prefabricated fireplaces 
May recess completely into existing masonry or prefabricated fireplace without overlapping existing fireplace trim or facing; optional blower also available. This is a great alternative to gas logs, using much less gas and providing much greater heat output.

3df663590.jpgThe Retrofire is a beautiful gas fire that looks just like a real log fire. Fits into small fireplaces - including prefabricated woodburning fireplaces - yet it offers high efficiency, low gas consumption and generous heat output.

Thermostat remote keeps the room comfortable by modulating the flame to maintain a consistent warmth, rather than turning the burner on & off, a feature offering greater efficiency than other fireplaces on the market.

-Top Venting; uses dual 3" flexible chimney liners. Fits very small fireplaces!

-Ignition is achieved electronically using a 9V battery, eliminating the need for a standing pilot.

Installation:
-The diagram below shows the co-linear vent kit used with this insert; the system uses dual 3" aluminum chimney liners. Combustion air enters through one pipe and exhausts exit through the other pipe. This type of direct vent system helps to "balance" the incoming and outgoing air for a pressurized venting system, and is particularly advantageous in an older house that tends to be drafty, or a newer "air tight" home that may not easily provide enough natural convection for optimum draft. This type of venting system provides the best answer to most drafting problems
