Hearth Requirements:A noncombustible hearth is not required but is recommended. It is also recommended that carpets, rugs, soft vinyl and similar flooring materials be not less than 16" from the front of the fireplace opening.

The finished height of the hearth, if installed, must be determined prior to installation; the cast iron front and the fireplace face must rest on top of the finished hearth. If a hearth is installed, it must be capable of supporting the cast iron surround and the fireplace front.

VENTING:

Uses 4" diameter type B-Vent pipe. Minimum height of vent is 9'0". Offsets less than 90 degrees are allowed. Vent pipe must run vertically and terminate above the roof line.
