Another great way to use these cast iron mantels is to charmingly enhance a standard woodburning prefabricated fireplace. Totally non-combustible, the mantel may abut the opening on the fireplace.
We used a standard "builder grade" prefabricated wood burning fireplace, retrofit a gas coal burner and installed the "Nathaniel" cast iron mantel to transform this fireplace display in our showroom. You can do it too!
