Paint the interior of your wood burning fireplace black for a dramatic effect.

Newer masonry fireplaces are generally built with white firebrick, which becomes stained unevenly with use. It's best to use high temperature stove paint, which won't burn off when using the fireplace with a real fire. A black fireplace will naturally enhance your fires when burning, as well as provide a dramatic background when not in use, highlighting the finish of your fireplace screen or serving as a background for decorating with fresh flowers, a water fountain, candles, etc.
